The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) is a labor union that represents 1.2 million hard-working men and women in the U.S. and Canada. We are a 501(c)(5) nonprofit organization that believes in the power of ordinary people coming together to improve their lives and make a lasting difference for all working people.

The UFCW is headquartered in downtown Washington, D.C. but staff work closely with local unions to organize and support our members across the U.S. and Canada.

Open Positions
Benefits Assistant
The Benefits Assistant works to assist the UFCW Benefits Office with clerical and administrative functions.
Confidential Secretary
The Confidential Secretary performs administrative duties, secretarial support, and business work of a highly confidential and sensitive nature for the President’s Office.
Data Engineer
The Data Engineer will design and build the data systems needed to support UFCW’s mission. The position calls for expertise in maintaining scalable database infrastructure and pipelines.
Law Fellow
Law fellows work with experienced attorneys on a variety of issues, including organizing campaigns (both traditional and nontraditional), collective bargaining, strikes, litigation and other UFCW initiatives.
Senior Political Coordinator (Region 7 & 8)
The Senior Political Coordinator, in coordination with local unions, is responsible for building out electoral, legislative, fundraising and activist programs under the direction of the Director.
Senior Research Associate
The Senior Research Associate conducts research and analysis for major projects within the Strategic Resources Department and assists in training junior staff.
