The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) is a labor union that represents 1.3 million hard-working men and women in the U.S. and Canada. We are a 501(c)(5) nonprofit organization that believes in the power of ordinary people coming together to improve their lives and make a lasting difference for all working people.

Law Clerk (Spring 2022 Internship) – Legal
The law clerk will work closely with attorneys to produce legal research and writing on important worker issues, including labor and civil rights laws and related legal proceedings and legislation. The work of law clerks supports the goals of the union’s officers and staff, including to further organizing campaigns and engage in legislative advocacy at the federal and state level. Law clerks also assist in developing potential litigation and counseling decision-makers, including affiliate local unions and the UFCW’s regional and program-level staff.
Secretary – Region 5
UFCW is seeking a Secretary to the Region Director that will serve principally as secretary and personal assistant to the Region Director. The Secretary will also perform the clerical, secretarial, administrative and business detail for the Director and staff. This position is located in Atlanta, Georgia.
UFCW is seeking a Record Secretary that will be responsible for the administrative and accounting support the International provides to local unions for financial assistance and picketing programs. The Record Secretary processes the payments and maintains the records of financial transactions relating to expense reports for field staff.
Assistant Director of Research – Strategic Resources
UFCW is seeking an Assistant Director to oversee, develop, and implement research in support of major core industry campaigns and assist the Union leadership in planning and executing organizing and bargaining programs in close coordination with the Department Director. The Assistant Director will also oversee training and development of strategic campaign researchers and others within the department.
Data and Targeting Specialist – Data & Analytics
The UFCW Data and Analytics Department is seeking an experienced Data and Targeting Specialist. This position will play a vital role in supporting campaigns and other projects in coordination with the Organizing, Bargaining, Political, Communications, and Digital Departments.
UFCW is seeking a Confidential Secretary to perform administrative duties, secretarial support, and business work of a highly confidential and sensitive nature for the Director of Civil Rights and Community Action Department and Assistant and Special Counsel to the President.
Assistant General Counsel (ICWUC) – Legal
UFCW is seeking an attorney with 3 or more years of experience in labor and employment law to work as an assistant general counsel in its legal department. The attorney would be assigned to and would work out of ICWUC’s Akron, Ohio office.
Campaign Communications Specialist – Communications
UFCW is looking for a Campaign Communications Specialist to aid with communications plans, projects and programs that support UFCW’s organizing, bargaining, and political campaigns. This role will be tasked with maintaining UFCW’s brand, voice and message in written and digital material created for different campaigns. This role will regularly interface with other departments, Local Unions, and UFCW members and non-union workers.
Technology and Data Administrator – Data & Analytics
The Technology and Data Administrator supports UFCW’s organizing campaigns and programs with all available technology and data platforms/tools as well as offer training, guidance, solutions, and best practices to International and Local Union staff. The incumbent must be able to work with minimal supervision, supervise technology and data staff and exercise independent judgment in the prioritization of their responsibilities and their work within the organization.
