Account Coordinator A/R
The Account Coordinator is primarily responsible for processing the ABC lockbox, overseeing and processing per capita (PC) receipts and related membership adjustments for the RWDSU local unions, calculating the AFL-CIO per capita tax and the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) affiliation dues.
Application Support Specialist
The United Food Commercial Workers International Union, (UFCW) a powerful voice for working men and women, is seeking an Applications Support Specialist to support software applications used by UFCW staff. Software applications support UFCW staff comprises the majority of the job. This position is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Assistant to the Director (Retail Stores Division)
The Assistant to the Director aids and assists the Director of the Division in carrying out responsibilities and duties while building and servicing the best interests of the UFCW and its membership.
Digital Ads Specialist
The team seeks an enthusiastic Digital Ads Specialist to accelerate UFCW’s organizing communications with workers–online and in the field–through creative paid marketing campaigns. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to take the lead in building our union’s digital marketing program and developing online strategy to reach potential members.
Law Clerk – Internship
The law clerk will work closely with attorneys to produce legal research and writing on important worker issues, including labor and civil rights laws and related legal proceedings and legislation. Law clerks also assist in developing potential litigation and counseling decision-makers, including affiliate local unions and the UFCW’s regional and program-level staff.
Office Administrator
Provides primary assistance and support to the Director. Assists the Director with supervising and coordinating the department’s clerical and/or administrative support staff. Is the department’s principle source for UFCW and department policies, procedures and protocol.
Political Director
This position designs the UFCW member to member program including RFPs for vendors, ensures comprehensive research is done for priority races, works on overall design and development of UFCW’s mail and digital program for UFCW members and ultimately oversees UFCW’s direct member to member voter contact program.
Records Manager
Coordinates and maintains UFCW’s records including organization, storage, preservation and thorough review, interpretation and adherence of the UFCW’s Official Retention Schedule, which promotes compliance with record retention laws and regulations, facilitates the litigation discovery process when needed, protects proprietary and other organization information and increases organizational effectiveness through better record-keeping and best retrieval practices.
Records Secretary
The Record Secretary is responsible for the administrative and accounting support the International provides to local unions for financial assistance and picketing programs. The Record Secretary processes the payments and maintains the records of financial transactions relating to expense reports for field staff.
Senior Benefits Assistant
The Senior Benefits Assistant assists in the administration of the UFCW Pension Plan by conducting salary audits and finalizing benefit calculations. These key functions constitute a significant portion of the overall responsibilities of this position.
Senior Political Coordinator – Region 5
The Senior Political Coordinator also assesses candidate viability, priority races, and meets with potential candidates to ensure they understand UFCW’s issues in collaboration with local unions. This position is also assigned to work with locals on building out their electoral programs and legislative priorities.
