The UFCW is headquartered in downtown Washington, D.C. but staff work closely with local unions to organize and support our members across the U.S. and Canada.

Administrative Support Specialist
The United Food and Commercial Workers Union is committed to offering job opportunities to ensure that all workers secure dignity and equality in their workplace. The Administrative Support Specialist performs administrative support and general secretarial duties to the Communications and Digital Departments. The incumbent must be able to work with minimal supervision and to exercise independent judgment in the prioritization of their responsibilities and the work organization.
Assistant Director – OSH
The Assistant Director provides support to the Director to carry out the safety and health operations of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) office. The OSH office collaborates with UFCW Departments and Divisions to integrate workplace safety and health into the work they do with an emphasis on UFCW-growth related activities. The OSH office works with OSHA and other relevant outside agencies, as well as other labor unions, worker centers and coalitions, to advocate for UFCW worker safety and health. The OSH office provides training, education, and technical assistance for International Union staff and local union officers, staff, stewards and member activists.

Deputy Legislative Director
The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, a powerful voice for working men and women, is seeking a Deputy Legislative Director to represent the UFCW on policy and legislative matters at the Federal, State and Municipal levels. Supervises the UFCW State Legislative operation under the direction of the Director.
The team seeks an outgoing Digital Organizer to accelerate UFCW’s organizing communications with workers online and in the field. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to take the lead in building our union’s digital organizing program and further developing strategy to reach and develop relationships with potential members. The ideal candidate for this role will bridge traditional organizing with digital savvy to reach new audiences in innovative ways.
The International Chemical Workers Union Council seeks applications for the position of Instructor at its Center for Worker Health and Safety Education, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Instructors teach emergency response and hazardous waste classes in Cincinnati and at various national locations. Topics include the use of personal protective equipment, rights and responsibilities, resources, hands-on spill response, and other related topics to the membership of twelve participating organizations.
Media Relations Specialist
United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) is seeking a Media Relations Specialist to contribute to the development and implementation of strategic communications plans that support UFCW’s mission and to enhance UFCW’s identity through news exposure. This role will regularly interface with the press, other UFCW International departments, Local Unions, external groups, and UFCW members and non-union workers. This is a professional position that involves the support of field activities, that can involve travel with little notice.
Occupational Safety and Health Specialist
The OSH Specialist conducts safety and health trainings to staff, stewards and members. Organizing, both internal and external, will be a key function. The OSH Specialist will participate in organizer trainings and in organizing campaigns. This position will work on campaigns, as assigned by the Director, in coordination with the Organizing Department. The OSH Specialist will also service as liaison with the International Chemical Workers Union Council (ICWUC) Safety and Health Training Center.
Technology and Data Administrator
The Technology and Data Administrator supports UFCW’s organizing campaigns and programs with all available technology and data platforms/tools as well as offer training, guidance, solutions, and best practices to International and Local Union staff. The incumbent must be able to work with minimal supervision, supervise technology and data staff and exercise independent judgment in the prioritization of their responsibilities and their work within the organization.
Technology and Data Specialist
The UFCW Data and Analytics Department is seeking an experienced Technology and Data Specialist. This position supports UFCW’s organizing campaigns and programs with all available technology and data platforms/tools as well as offers training, guidance, and best practices to International and Local Union staff. The incumbent must be able to work with minimal supervision, demonstrate mastery of key technology platforms and exercise judgment in the prioritization of their responsibilities and their work within the organization.
