Proud. Engaged. Involved.
Together, we’re committed to doing good not just at work but in the world. For more than three decades we’ve united to fight blood cancers with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We partner with union letter carriers to Stamp Out Hunger every year. And we’ve helped thousands of UFCW members register to vote and hundreds more become American citizens through our Union Citizenship Action Network program.
Giving back to our community never ends. As long as there are still hungry people in our community, we can’t stop working to ensure they are fed. As long as blood cancers afflict our loved ones, we won’t stop fundraising to find a cure. Also, our locals assist in local causes across the country and work to make their neighborhoods better every day.
“I can honestly say that I am alive today because of LLS and UFCW. The medication I take is a direct result of research funded by LLS with money raised by UFCW and many others in the fight against cancer. I’m proud to say I played a role in bringing forth the treatment that saved my life.”
– Dean Nelson, UFCW Local 1189
Join us in working to make things better in your community – whether it’s leaving shelf-stable foods on your porch during the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food drive or volunteering for the Light the Night Walk with your local’s team. With your help, we will leave our communities better than we found them.
