Members of UFCW Local 7 who are employed as Albertsons Pharmacy Technicians in Casper, Wyo., recently ratified their first union contract.
The six pharmacy technicians joined our union family last year through an Armour-Globe election because they wanted the same union contractual protections and benefits that their colleagues in the unionized retail and meat departments have, including union health care and pension benefits. These workers were added to the to the existing contract which expires on Nov. 19, 2022, and includes union health care, wage increases through the life of the contract, pension benefits, and other workplace protections.
“When workers recognize their true value and recognize their own solidarity, they win! We are honored to have the privilege to represent essential heroes,” said UFCW Local 7 President Kim Cordova.
