Applying for U.S. citizenship can be a difficult and lengthy process, but we’re committed to helping our members fulfill their dreams of becoming an American citizen. UFCW Local offices all over the country are partnering with reliable immigration service providers to help our members secure their futures in the United States.
The UCAN program offers our members legal resources and naturalization clinics to make the path to citizenship feel possible. Our goal is to empower you with all the resources you need to kickstart your journey to becoming a citizen.

United Latinos of the UFCW (UL)
As part of our mission to raise the floor for Latinx and immigrant workers, the UFCW United Latinos is proud to provide financial assistance to UFCW members in need of financial support to become citizens of the United States or pursue higher education.
The United Latinos New American Citizenship Fund is open for new applicants!
The New American Citizenship Fund is created to support UFCW members who have become New American Citizens during the past year. Through this fund, the United Latinos of the UFCW distributes awards in the amount of $600.00 per member.
Make sure you have reviewed eligibility and application requirements on our website before you begin the application. The application period will remain open until March 31, 2026, and applications are available in both English and Spanish.
