Local 7 Workers to Vote on Four-Year Contract with Albertsons

UFCW Local 7 workers are voting on a contract with Albertsons by mail-in-ballot scheduled to be counted April 30. The agreement affects more than 2,000 supermarket employees in the Denver, Colorado area.
Albertsons is the last of the three major supermarket chains in the Colorado area for Local 7 members negotiating a four-year contract. The contract with Albertsons is similar to ones ratified last month by Kroger-owned King Soopers (60 percent vote) and Safeway (65 percent vote).
