Support Tyson Working Families
Kurt Kernan and his daughter Shannon have had to forgo the little things in life since going out on strike against Tyson Foods six months ago. After 18 years of hard work at the Jefferson, Wisc., pepperoni plant, Kurt’s family, along with hundreds more, are now making tremendous sacrifices in the fight against corporate greed.
To help families make it through the fight for dignity and fairness, UFCW Local 538 has established an Adopt-a-Family program. Families will receive up to $750 per month, depending on need.
In addition to the Adopt-a-Family activities by larger locals, the Tyson Workers’ Assistance Committee fund will pool smaller contributions to help other families meet expenses on an as-needed basis.
Donations to the general fund can be made out to UFCW Local 538 Strike Fund, and sent to:
UFCW Local 538 2228 Myrtle St. Madison, WI 53704
