The UFCW and Health Care

Tacoma girls modifiedHealth care in America is too expensive, too exclusive, too unreliable and is getting worse.

UFCW members fight hard for their health benefits every time we sit down at the bargaining table. With escalating premiums and the sky-rocketing cost of care, it's getting harder and harder to keep the quality, affordable coverage our families need.

Workers shouldn't have to carry the burden of our broken health care system just because our leaders in Washington won't take action.

We need a national solution to this national crisis--and we need it now.

-Mary Tapia-Barthel, UFCW Local 881

Congress directed the group to prepare a report to create solid ideas and recommendations for building a health care system that works for all Americans.
