Scholarship Application Guidelines
 
The online application must be completed in one sitting, so prepare your answers to the essay questions ahead of time and allow plenty of time to complete all fields. You will not be able to save information and return to the application later.

There are two parts to applying for the 2010 UFCW Scholarship:
 
Part A has five sections – Family Profile, Educational Profile, Work Experience, Community Activities, and a section for your Personal Statement. These should be completed on-line and submitted electronically. Please do not submit more than one application.
   
Part B has two sections – Academic Profile and Required Signatures. These are printed by you and submitted separately by a school official.

YOUR GPA MUST BE SUBMITTED SEPARATELY from this on-line application. Failure to do so will make your application ineligible for consideration.

Here are the steps you should follow to complete this application.
 
  1. Read the Rules and Regulations thoroughly.
  2.. You should have your essay prepared ahead of time. You may copy & paste.
  • Why are unions important for the future well-being of working people?
    - This essay should be no more than 1500 words.
  3. You will need access to a printer. You will not be able to return and print the application later.
  4. You will submit Part A of this application online.
  5. After submitting Part A you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. YOUR APPLICATION IS NOT YET COMPLETED!
  6. Print Part B of the application, sign it along with your parent or guardian and give this to a school official who must mail it along with your grade transcript to:
