I came out of a union plant. I was a shop steward there. That’s why I know we need a union in Wilson, because without one, Smithfield can do you any kind of way. We have no say so over anything. There is so much favoritism; they are good to some employees and bad to others.
When we started to form our union, we had a lot of support on my shift, but then Smithfield held individual meetings with a lot of people and told them to vote no for the union.
