Dignity and respect. Better Wages. Fair Treatment. Job Security. These were the changes we were trying to make at Smithfield in Wilson with a union. We signed up hundreds of our co-workers. But the company resorted to threats, intimidation and harassment. Once the company found out my participation in union activity, I was terminated.
