Who are the United Latinos of the UFCW?

The United Latinos of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) is an organization of men and women who have joined together to promote the issues and pursue interests important to Latino workers.

The United Latinos aim to empower Latino men and women within the UFCW and within our communities. They are also committed to building Latino pride which will help others better understand cultural differences. The UFCW’s diversity will help make our organization and our society stronger.

United Latinos assists UFCW Regions, Local Unions and other organizations in their efforts to communicate, organize and service Latino members  The organization helps with basic Spanish translations, Spanish press conferences and rallies, organizing (blitzs and campaigns), immigration issues, training programs for Latino workers, voter registration, GOTV, electing candidates, etc. The United Latinos is the face and the voice of the UFCW when we need to reach Latino working men and women.  They help teach others that through UFCW membership, there is a better way of life that includes wages, health benefits, pensions, job security and dignity.
