The UFCW's manufacturing workers make everything from fertilizer to shoes. We number over 60,000 strong with 25,000 workers in chemical production and 20,000 who work in garment and textile industries. As chemical workers, we make the pharmaceuticals that keep you healthy, the soap that keeps you clean, and the plastic that shapes your world. As garment and textile workers we work in mills where we produce cloth and in factories where we cut and sew fabric into the clothes you wear.
