Local 1444 Raises $21,000 In Bowl-A-Thon and Raffle for Leukemia Research

In its second annual Bowl-A-Thon, Local 1444 raised $21,000 for the Leukemia Society. Local 1444 members have collected more than $125,000 for the Leukemia Foundation over the past 10 years. All children bowled for free, and members who donated $25.00 or more in items were eligible for free bowling. In addition to the free raffle prizes given out, there were prizes for bowlers who made high scores. "Members attending have found out that it's a lot of fun and a great way to win prizes. In fact, everyone attending, both adults and children, won at least one prize," stated Local 1444 Chairman Ernest Thompson.
